Following a career in Interior Architecture, and later Fashion and Tailoring, I’ve always been drawn to how things are made - the details, the structure, the way form comes together.
In 2011, after being ill and spending a long period bedridden, I became restless and i needed something to focus on. I decided to make a cake for a friend’s birthday called Pig Swamp - using a good old Betty Crocker mix (no judgement, please). Photo below and excuse the grainy quality. I had no baking or technical knowledge back then but I was completely taken. It became my therapy and my natural high.
Cake offered a space where I could combine technical thinking with intuition, and where pushing boundaries felt natural rather than risky. I’m self taught, learning through trial and error, hours of YouTube, and the support of a wonderful cake community. It became the place where I trusted myself most.
I take inspiration from nature and architecture — movement, landscapes, erosion, rhythm and form. I’m drawn to contrast and texture, and to the quiet tension between structure and softness. I enjoy exploring how far an idea can go, and letting the process shape the final outcome. With cake, the possibilities feel endless.
Over the years, my work has been featured in magazines, tutorials and collaborations, and I’m grateful to have worked as an ambassador for a number of cake brands.
Cake is where I push into the unknown, trust the process, and believe in what I’m creating more than in any other medium.
